Gibson County CEO enjoyed an emotionally inspiring presentation from CEO alumnus, Dakota Kinsey.

Dressed in a suit, Dakota shared some of the challenges throughout his life and then how Band, CEO, being adopted, and starting to college have moved his life in a completely different direction!

Dakota presented four main themes:

1) Light is at the end of the tunnel. Never give up. The journey can be difficult, but as long as we have hope, things can always get better.

2) Don’t be me in CEO. Dakota encouraged everyone to stay motivated, turn in Journals on time, get something out of every day, network with everyone, and see that participation in CEO is preparation for the real world.

3) Follow your dream. You can do anything you set your mind to achieving, and you don’t have to do it all at once.
Graduating from high school will open endless dreams, if you believe in yourself, work hard, and connect will all of the supports you create in CEO.

4) Love unconditionally. Follow the Golden Rule. You might want to punch someone occasionally, but don’t do that. Love and understand them instead.

Dakota shared that he is an example of someone who can go from D’s and F’s in high school to A’s and B’s in college.

Today is also Dakota’s 19th birthday.
Happy Birthday, Dakota!

Thank you, Dakota for growing into the truly amazing human being who has only just begun…
